Although I've had them since their beginning - (they're 2 months now), I can't say they fully trust me. I mean - they do trust me, as you can see - they perch on my fingers and move around without hesitation. But... What I'd like to achieve is getting them come to me, sitting with me or on me, playing confidently right next to me, like some of the birds I watch sometimes do. It's a long process that requires dedication and time.. and patience..
So I make sure we do our short walks around the room everyday, so they feel comfortable with me and safe. And from what I've noticed - we can't skip a day, cause they regress. It always feels like they need a few seconds/minutes to click and step up on my finger or hand without a fear. My aim is to teach them I'm on their side and there's nothing to be afraid of.
